Two new PBS shows premiere Sunday “Call the Midwife” and “Mr. Selfridge”

Easter Sunday, March 31, at 8 PM Pacific time, PBS will air season two of  Call the Midwife.”

“BBC One’s most successful new drama since ratings began sees the return of all its well-loved characters as well as some new faces. Expect more births, babies and bicycling, plus blossoming romance from an unexpected quarter.”

Masterpiece follows at 9 with “Mr. Selfridge”

“Meet Harry Gordon Selfridge, a wheeling-dealing American who shows early-1900s Londoners how to shop. Jeremy Piven (Entourage) stars. Based on the life of the colorful retail magnate, the new eight-part series was created by Emmy Award-winning writer Andrew Davies (Pride and Prejudice, Bleak House).”

I’m not a big Piven fan and this means having to watch The Good Wife later, but any show focusing on shopping is my kind of show. I’m the Jackie O, Princess Di, Imelda Marcos of the Pacific Northwest!
